A female university student in her second year, pursuing a degree in Accounting and Finance, was tragically killed last night in a shocking case of relationship violence.
Reports indicate that the young woman had been in a romantic relationship with a man who had been supporting her financially by paying part of her rent and buying food for her. However, she later informed him that she was no longer interested in the relationship and had found love with another man.
Heartbroken and angered by the news, the former boyfriend allegedly hired people to attack both the woman and her new partner. The brutal assault left the young woman dead on the spot, while her new boyfriend was rushed to Mulago Hospital in critical condition.
