Imagine being a child who has already faced immense challenges, only to have your education abruptly cut short. This is the dire reality for over 200,000 students in Uganda. These young people, living in communities that generously host refugees, now face a serious threat to their future. They are at risk of not completing their school year by 2026. This crisis is happening because there are simply not enough teachers to educate them. The severe shortage of educators is directly caused by a worrying drop in financial support from international donors. Without these crucial funds, the hopes, dreams, and opportunities of hundreds of thousands of children are now in jeopardy, potentially denying them a chance at a brighter future.
