The Ministry of Health in Uganda has dismissed claims about a new outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Dr. Charles Olaro, Director General of Health Services, assured the public that Uganda’s health situation remains stable and fully under control.
“There is no resurgence of COVID-19 in Uganda,” the Ministry stated on its official social media page, adding that the rumors are based on old videos being shared by individuals intending to mislead the public.
The Ministry emphasized that it continues to closely monitor health trends to detect any potential threats early and respond quickly.
Ugandans are encouraged to keep practicing good hygiene and follow health guidelines.
