The Uganda Christian University (UCU) community is in mourning following the tragic death of Angella Namirembe, a bright and ambitious law student. Angella was involved in a boda boda accident while heading back from the UCU Kampala Campus, where she had attended classes. Despite being rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
A Promising Future Cut Short
Angella’s friends and classmates remember her as a kind, hardworking, and dedicated student who was passionate about law and helping others. She had dreams of becoming a lawyer who would champion justice and support those in need. Her untimely passing has left a void in the university community, with many describing her as a shining star.
A Call for Road Safety
This tragic incident has once again highlighted the pressing issue of boda boda accidents in Uganda, sparking concerns about the need for enhanced road safety measures. As the community mourns the loss of this talented young woman, there is a renewed call for action to prevent such accidents in the future.
Rest in Peace, Angella
May Angella Namirembe’s soul rest in peace. Her legacy will live on through the memories of her kindness, determination, and passion for justice. May her family, friends, and fellow students find strength during this difficult time.
