In a powerful and necessary address on the floor of Parliament, Dr. Samuel Opio Acuti, the Member of Parliament representing Kole North, has stepped forward to champion the cause of balanced national development. He is raising a critical alarm regarding the current plans for the nation’s backup stadium, pointing out a glaring oversight that could undermine the entire project: the inexplicable exclusion of vital access roads.
Dr. Acuti argues that building a state-of-the-art sports facility is only half the battle. Without a reliable and modern network of roads to support it, even the most impressive stadium remains inaccessible and underutilized. He has officially brought this matter of national importance to the attention of his fellow lawmakers, questioning why key transportation routes were omitted from the current development agenda.
His message is both clear and persuasive. For a national project to truly serve the people and foster economic growth, the infrastructure surrounding it must be treated with the same priority as the facility itself. MP Acuti is advocating for total equality in infrastructure, insisting that the communities, fans, and athletes who will use this backup stadium deserve a seamless and safe connection to the rest of the country.
By demanding that these excluded roads be immediately integrated into the planning process, Dr. Acuti is not just talking about asphalt and gravel; he is fighting for the future of national sports and regional accessibility. He is calling on the government to rectify this strategic gap, ensuring that our national investments are supported by a complete blueprint for success rather than a half-finished vision that leaves essential transport links behind. Moving forward, the goal is simple: if we are to build for the future, we must ensure that no road to progress is left unpaved.
