The Uganda Police Force has released the requirements for Ugandans who wish to apply for the position of Election Special Police Constable. The recruitment targets one hundred thousand (100,000) constables who will serve on a three-month contractual basis in their respective home districts.
To qualify, an applicant must be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National Identification Card. The minimum academic requirement is a Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) certificate, supported by a PLE results slip. Applicants must be aged 18 years or above and have no criminal record.
Candidates are also expected to be physically fit, ready to work for long hours, and possess good communication skills. Having a record of voluntary community service will be considered an added advantage during selection.
Each applicant must submit a handwritten application addressed to the Inspector General of Police, accompanied by photocopies of academic documents, a National ID, and a recent passport-sized photograph. In addition, recommendation letters from Local Council 1 (LC I), Local Council III (LC III), and the area GISO are required.
Applications should be submitted to the nearest District or Divisional Police Headquarters before the deadline of November 1, 2025.
