PLU’s Toyota Rallies Youth in Fight Against Corruption
The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has called on the youth to take a leading role in the battle against corruption. Speaking at the launch of the PLU Youth Forum at Hotel Africana in Kampala, Michael Nuwagira Kaguta, widely known as Toyota, emphasized the importance of integrity and good governance.
Addressing over 1,000 young attendees, Toyota underscored the power of youth to effect positive change in a democratic manner. He represented General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, PLU’s leader and the envisioned future president post-Museveni.
“Let us be a generation that upholds values and integrity,” Toyota stated. He highlighted that the fight against corruption is a core principle of PLU and aligns with General Kainerugaba’s vision for Uganda.
The PLU Youth Forum aims to promote the interests of young professionals and those in informal sectors through training, mentorship, and seminars. This initiative seeks to prepare youth for employment opportunities and instill principles of good governance.
Kaguta reiterated that PLU’s mission includes promoting patriotism, fighting corruption, and driving socio-economic transformation. The youth present expressed their gratitude for Toyota’s efforts and pledged their support to PLU’s agenda.
“With the current organization of PLU, all Ugandans are assured of a stable and prosperous future, continuing the legacy of peace and stability established by President Museveni,” Toyota added.
PLU, founded in February by General Kainerugaba, continues to mobilize young Ugandans towards a future of integrity and development.
