MK Movement Relaunches as Patriotic League of Uganda
Supporters of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba have rebranded the MK Movement as the Patriotic League of Uganda.
The Patriotic League of Uganda, initially formed in April 2022, has been dedicated to rallying Ugandans in support of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s military service and the contributions of his comrades. Over the past 17 months, the movement has actively worked towards promoting national unity, peace, and stability.
In a statement, the Patriotic League emphasized the importance of a patriotic citizenry in achieving national goals, highlighting the need for organized and empowered citizens to build sustainable foundations for Uganda’s independence, sovereignty, and socio-economic development. The organization aims to revive a spirit of good citizenship, national pride, and public service among Ugandans. It also prioritizes protecting vulnerable individuals, combating corruption, and conserving the environment.
The Patriotic League of Uganda commits to remaining non-partisan, non-denominational, and non-sectarian in its efforts to promote patriotism and civic responsibility across the country.
