The people of Lango are getting ready for a massive celebration to honor President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni after his successful re election. Leading the effort is Sam Engola, a top presidential advisor and Member of Parliament elect, who is inviting everyone from every corner of the subregion to attend this special thanksgiving event.
This grand ceremony will take place on April 18 at Lango College in Lira, with activities starting as early as 8:00 in the morning. This is not just a political gathering; it is a moment for the entire community to come together and show appreciation for the progress and leadership the President has provided.
The event celebrates a significant milestone where the Lango subregion showed overwhelming support for the President, giving him nearly 84 percent of the local vote. This massive turnout proves that the region is united in its desire for stability and development. Organizers emphasize that the gates are open to everyone, regardless of which political party you support. It is a day for unity, peace, and looking forward to a bright future together.
Local leaders, including security officials and government representatives, are working hard to ensure the day is safe and organized for the thousands expected to attend. Security teams have confirmed that everything is in place to protect the public. To keep traffic moving smoothly, public parking has been set up at Adyel Boarding Primary School, and surveillance will be active throughout the venue.
Do not miss this chance to be part of history. Come and celebrate our shared success and the strong partnership between our people and the government. Your presence matters as we mark this new chapter of growth and cooperation for our region.
