Ajuri County parliamentary hopeful Khedi Tom Bukenya, running under the UPC ticket, has urged the youth to embrace hard work as a key to achieving their life goals. Addressing constituents in Abako, Awei, Adwir, Angetta, Amugu Town Council, and Amugu sub-counties, Bukenya, a renowned liturgical scholar and Radio North presenter, emphasized the importance of diligence.
“Hard work is not just a virtue, it’s a commandment,” Bukenya stated, drawing inspiration from Proverbs 10:4, “The hand of the diligent will rule, while the lazy will be put to forced labor.” He highlighted the biblical principles of hard work, urging the youth to cultivate a strong work ethic. He cited the example of labourers who achieve success through honest toil, illustrating that their efforts bring forth rewards. He added that while talent and opportunity are important, hard work is the ultimate catalyst for success.
“Success isn’t a gift, it’s an earned reward,” Bukenya added. “In the pursuit of achieving your goals, remember that hard work, coupled with perseverance, is the unwavering key. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which He prepared in advance for us to do.” He stressed that diligence builds character and self-sufficiency, contributing to a thriving community.
