I believe in the sun that rose in Eighty-Six,
When a lion roared with a fire none could fix.
From the bush with vision, sharp as a spear,
He brought a dawn that chased away fear.
Like Moses with a staff in his hand,
He led Ugandans to a promised land.
His word was iron, his steps divine,
He gave Uganda the peace it had longed to find
I believe Uganda stood from her knees
Because Museveni planted peace like trees.
I believe our story is carved in his name,
A shepherd of hope in democracy’s flame.
From darkness to power, from silence to speech,
He taught the unreachable, dared us to reach.
He built the roads that stitched us as one,
Raised schools and hospitals under the sun.
He sparked the industries, made factories rise,
Fought off the plague with unwavering eyes.
Like a farmer sowing in dry, cracked earth,
He tilled our dignity, restored our worth.
He said, “No sleep till the child reads and writes,”
And now our stars blink through electric nights.
I believe the drum still beats for his call,
For he held the nation when others let it fall.
From Entebbe to Gulu, his hand has healed,
And his dreams for youths remain unsealed.
Technology blooms like lilies in May,
Because he dared to pave the digital way.
Our flag now flutters in global pride,
For his wisdom is a compass, a blazing guide.
Yes, a stitch in time saves nine they say,
And Museveni’s vision has led the way.
I believe Uganda’s journey is still being penned,
With Museveni leading, there’s no bitter end.
A land of milk, with rivers of gold,
Where youth shall prosper, the aged consoled.
Museveni, our oak in a stormy field,
With roots of truth and bark like steel.
Like a mountain unmoved, he stands so tall,
In every heart, in every hall.
With him, Uganda’s tale shall shine—
For I believe, and I still believe,
That Museveni’s dream is Uganda’s will.
