The facility is being elevated from a level three to a robust health center level four status. This five point nine billion shilling venture is not just about bricks and mortar; it is a critical pillar in Ugandas visionary preparation to host the prestigious AFCON twenty twenty seven football tournament.
Addressing an enthusiastic crowd of local residents and leaders in Hoima District, the Prime Minister emphasized that this project is a testament to the governments unwavering commitment to the well being of its people. The elite UPDF Engineering Brigade has been tasked with the construction, working under a rapid timeline to ensure the facility is ready to serve the community and visitors alike. To ensure the highest standard of medical care, the Prime Minister announced that an additional two point three billion shillings will be injected into the facility to provide state of the art medical equipment and modern furniture.
This upgrade is part of a much larger wave of development washing over the Bunyoro region. Prime Minister Nabbanja highlighted that over five hundred billion shillings is currently being invested in the area as the nation gears up for the African Cup of Nations. From the world class Hoima City Stadium and the Kabalega International Airport to modernized oil roads and the enhancement of Hoima Regional Referral Hospital, the landscape of the region is being permanently improved under the leadership of President Yoweri Museveni.
During the launch, local leaders expressed deep gratitude while also looking toward the future needs of the community. Hoima District Chairperson Uthuman Mugisha Kadiri praised the national government for prioritizing the district, noting that these projects are changing lives.
