This inspiring young talent from Ilong Primary School is set to represent his country at the upcoming East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association Games in Tanzania.
Omee secured his spot after an outstanding performance at a recent national youth championship. His selection is particularly noteworthy as he is the only athlete from Dokolo District chosen for this prestigious regional competition, a testament to his exceptional skill and dedication.
His achievement has sparked immense joy and pride throughout Dokolo. Local education and sports officials are celebrating, seeing Omee’s success as clear proof that young athletes can achieve greatness when given the right opportunities and support.
Omee’s mother, Ms. Vicky Akello, a widow, expressed her deep pride and gratitude for all the encouragement her son has received. She shared how much this milestone means to their family and affirmed her continued prayers for his success and safety as he prepares for the regional event.
