Dokolo North County Member of Parliament Joseph Jones Ogwal has come through on his promise, delivering Shs3 million to the Dokolo North Dwog Pacu Cup team. This vital financial support arrives just in time as the team prepares for a significant match against Erute North County.
The funds were handed over by the MP’s representative to team captain Moses Aliro Okabo. This gesture, according to the representative, clearly shows MP Ogwal’s deep dedication to boosting local sports and developing the promising young talent within Dokolo North.
MP Ogwal shared a powerful message with the players, encouraging them to remain united, disciplined, and to play with immense pride and love for their constituency. He expressed strong belief in the team’s capabilities to perform exceptionally well.
Furthermore, the MP has pledged an additional Shs1.5 million if the team successfully qualifies for the tournament’s final match, offering another powerful incentive.
Looking further ahead, MP Ogwal shared an exciting long-term vision: to establish a dedicated constituency football club. His ambition is for this club to grow into a strong, competitive side capable of playing in Uganda’s top-tier Uganda Premier League.
This financial backing has significantly boosted the players’ morale and confidence, making them feel strongly supported by their leadership as they face their crucial upcoming game. The team captain and players eagerly welcomed the contribution, describing it as both timely and incredibly motivating.
