Lira City is buzzing with anticipation as President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni prepares for an important upcoming visit. This event, expected to attract a large number of people from across the region, is being met with significant security preparations to ensure everyone’s safety.
Local police and other security forces are working together to put in place thorough safety plans for the President and all attendees. The main gathering will be held at Lango College Playground, and the public is warmly invited to participate.
Authorities are reminding everyone to stay alert, as large events can sometimes attract petty criminals like pickpockets. They also want to warn about possible heavy traffic in Lira City due to the many visitors. Drivers should plan their routes ahead of time, drive carefully, and follow all traffic rules to help keep things moving smoothly.
To ensure everyone’s security, all attendees will need to go through screening at the entry points. Security staff will be using walk-through scanners to make this process efficient and safe.
Around the city, foot and vehicle patrols will be increased, especially in areas known for crime. There will also be constant monitoring through CCTV cameras, working 24 hours a day, to quickly spot and respond to any issues.
Local security leaders want to assure the public that they are fully prepared and dedicated to making this a peaceful and secure event for everyone. They encourage all citizens to cooperate with security personnel and report anything suspicious, helping ensure a successful and enjoyable visit for the President and the entire community.
