Education Service Commission Invites Applications for Positions in Seed Secondary Schools Under UGIFT Program 2026

The Education Service Commission (ESC) has announced the opening of applications for vacant positions in Seed Secondary Schools across Uganda. The schools were constructed under the Uganda Inter-Government Fiscal Transfer Program (UGIFT), and the recruitment is for the 2025/2026 financial year.

According to the Commission, the exercise targets suitably qualified Ugandans who are ready to serve in government-aided Seed Secondary Schools. Successful applicants will be required to work in their respective postings for a minimum period of five years, in line with government policy aimed at stabilising staffing in newly established schools.

Applications must be submitted strictly online through the Education Service Commission e-recruitment system. Interested candidates are required to create an account, complete the application form, and upload all the necessary supporting documents. These include academic certificates, professional registration certificates where applicable, and a valid national identity card.

The deadline for submission of applications is January 10, 2026, at exactly 11:59 p.m. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The Commission has emphasised that the recruitment process is open to all eligible Ugandans, with special encouragement extended to women and persons with disabilities to apply. ESC further reminded the public that all its recruitment services are offered free of charge and warned applicants to avoid individuals demanding money in exchange for jobs.

How to apply:

First, visit the official Education Service Commission website at [https://www.esc.go.ug](https://www.esc.go.ug) or go directly to the e-recruitment portal at [https://erecruitment.esc.go.ug](https://erecruitment.esc.go.ug).

For further clarification or assistance, applicants may contact the Education Service Commission through the official email addresses [esc@esc.go.ug](mailto:esc@esc.go.ug) or [recruitment@esc.go.ug](mailto:recruitment@esc.go.ug).

The Commission has advised all applicants to read the application guidelines carefully to avoid errors that may lead to disqualification.
