NRM Leaders Rally Mubende Residents in Massive Show of Strength as President Museveni Prepares for High-Profile December 15 Visit

National Resistance Movement leaders and flag bearers in Mubende District have stepped up grassroots mobilisation ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s expected visit on December 15, an event party leaders say will reaffirm the district’s loyalty to the ruling party and its development agenda.

The mobilisation drive has taken leaders deep into villages and parishes, with rallies aimed at urging residents to turn up in large numbers for the presidential meeting scheduled to take place at Kassambya DAS Playground.

In Jjemba village, Kibyamirizi Parish in Kalonga Sub County, Buwekula South NRM flag bearer Dedan Mubangizi joined district leaders, led by NRM spokesperson Twaha Mukomazi, to mobilise residents and underline the importance of attending the event.

Addressing an enthusiastic crowd, Mubangizi thanked residents for their continued support of the ruling party and called on them to give the President a warm welcome when he arrives in Mubende.

He assured supporters that transport arrangements had been made to ensure residents from different villages can easily travel to Kassambya for the rally. According to him, the strong turnout will be a clear message of unity and appreciation for the leadership of President Museveni.

Mubangizi also reminded voters of the development projects achieved in Buwekula South under the NRM government, urging them to safeguard these gains by backing President Museveni and all NRM flag bearers in the upcoming 2026 elections.

NRM spokesperson Twaha Mukomazi used the same platform to warn residents against individuals spreading false information about party candidates, calling on voters to remain focused and united behind the ruling party.

He further revealed plans by NRM youth to organise a large-scale march to welcome the President, describing the planned one-thousand-man procession as a historic mobilisation initiative for the district.

Kalonga Sub County Chairperson Edward Ggamba echoed similar sentiments, urging voters to prioritise President Museveni and NRM candidates at all levels. He likened the party to a family, with the President as its head, arguing that supporting NRM candidates ensures easier access to government programmes and services.

With days remaining before the presidential visit, NRM leaders say mobilisation efforts will continue across Mubende, as the party seeks to turn the December 15 gathering into a powerful display of political unity and support ahead of the next general elections.
