The Lango cultural community is in mourning following the passing of the Paramount Chief (Won Nyaci), Muzee Yosam Odur Ebii, who died, Monday November 10, 2025, at Lira University. The revered cultural leader was a pillar of the Lango cultural heritage and will be deeply missed.
Muzee Yosam Odur Ebii was elected Won Nyaci in 2003 and had been a driving force in preserving and promoting Lango culture. His leadership was marked by a commitment to community development and cultural preservation.
The Lango cultural Foundation has lost a great hero, and the community mourns the loss of a dedicated leader. Tributes are pouring in from across the region, with many praising his contributions to Lango culture and heritage.
