The Uganda Police Force has officially announced the recruitment of over 100,000 Election Special Police Constables to serve during the upcoming elections. This opportunity is open to suitably qualified Ugandan citizens, and the recruitment will run on a three-month contract with a monthly remuneration of UGX 469,000.
How to Apply:
Applicants must submit handwritten applications addressed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP). The application should include:
* Photocopies of academic documents
* National Identity Card
* One recent passport-size photograph
* Recommendation letters from LCI, LCIII, and GISO (from the respective district)
All applications must be delivered to the Police District or Divisional Headquarters in the applicant’s district of residence not later than 1st November 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews on dates to be communicated by the Police.
Eligibility Requirements:
* Must be a Ugandan citizen with a National ID.
* Must have good conduct and no criminal record.
* Must be 18 years or older.
* Must be physically fit and ready to work long hours, sometimes under difficult conditions.
* Must have at least a Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) certificate.
* Must be a registered voter in their district.
* Women are encouraged to apply.
* Volunteers with prior experience in the Uganda Police Force will have an added advantage.
Applicants will undergo a one-month Basic Security Training if selected. Impersonation or submission of forged documents will lead to arrest and prosecution.
